A Private class in Thyme’s Cookery School exploring seasonal flavours inspired by our Kitchen Garden & Farm.
Our cookery classes are fun, collaborative and entertaining as well as educational, incorporating a variety of skills and top tips from our chefs. The recipes are always seasonal using ingredients that are carefully sourced from our own farm and trusted local suppliers. We have a selection of classes that you can choose from and in a private class can ensure that we cover techniques and dishes that are of particular interest to you. This gift experience makes a wonderful day out and can be redeemed on a date that suits you.

Master a Dish for Two
The small, intense 'master a dish' classes take a classic dish and demystify it to add to your repertoire, learning a few of our chefs' secrets along the way. Skills based you will cook a single dish to enjoy for your lunch. Weather permitting, after lunch your host will take you on a walk through the gardens to see where Thyme's vegetables are grown and meet the gardening team. Two hours in the cookery school from 11am-1pm followed by lunch, which will include a glass of wine or home-made cordial.
Half Day Class for Two
A morning exploring a lunchtime menu inspired by the seasonal rhythms of our vegetable gardens. This class explores the fundamentals of flavour to give you confidence to explore beyond our recipes and cook instinctively with the best available produce. From 10am-1.30pm, a mixture of hands-on cookery and demonstrations during which our chefs will help you create the perfect seasonal two course lunch, to enjoy with a glass of wine or home-made cordial. Weather permitting, after lunch your host will take you on a walk through the gardens to see where Thyme's vegetables are grown and meet the gardening team.
Full Day Class for Two
From 10am-4.00pm, this class begins (weather permitting) with a chef’s tour of our vegetable gardens as guests gather produce for the class, guided to whatever is absolutely at its seasonal best. A mixture of hands-on cookery and demonstrations, with recipes that may include bread, pastry, knife skills and pasta making; the format of the day allows for the flexibility to cover particular culinary interests and we can advise on inspirational class themes. You will enjoy the dishes created throughout the day, with a glass of wine or home-made cordial at lunch-time, and take further items home with you to share with family and friends. This gift experience voucher is sent out with two 100% linen Thyme aprons.
